Archives of the Impossible Conference 2025

Held at Rice University’s Hudspeth Auditorium, AOTI 2025 centered on the UFO—or UAP (Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon)—at a moment when credible whistleblower testimony and government hearings have brought unprecedented attention to the subject.

This gathering brought together voices from the sciences, the military, and the humanities to explore pressing questions:

• What role do UAP and experiencers play in our understanding of the phenomenon?
• Might encounters with Non-Human Intelligences (NHIs) be traced back to religious traditions of the past?
• How might such possibilities reshape our understanding of religion, culture, and the future of human knowledge?
• What new conversations open between science and religion in light of these inquiries?

Part of the ongoing Archives of the Impossible series, “The UFO and the Impossible” served as both a forum for rigorous dialogue and a community-builder, connecting a diverse international network of researchers, experiencers, and curious minds.
